Born in Maryland in 1904, Tom Angley played football at Georgia Tech before turning to baseball.

He began his professional career career in 1927 and joined the Kansas City Blues in 1929.  During that season his contract was purchased by the pennant-winning Chicago Cubs and he played in five games as their backup catcher.

Angley rejoined the Blues in the 1928 season and played another six seasons in the minor leagues.  After his playing days, he moved to Wichita and became the official scorer for the National Baseball Congress. He died in Wichita in 1952, aged 48.
