Mike Blue

Mike Blue, a lefty, pitched for Wichita West High and was a member of its 1959 state champion team.

He played in the farm systems of the New York Giants and the Washington Senators and also coached in the Senators’ system.

He coached football and baseball at West High for 20 years, was athletic director for five years. In 1959, he was MVP and all-star pitcher for Boeing BoJets in Kansas State NBC Tournament.  He also coached an El Dorado team with Daryl Spencer in mid-1970s.
