Ed Chaney

Ed Chaney worked for years as the Wichita area “bird dog” for the Dodgers. In the early 1940s Chaney became close friends with Bert Wells, the regional scout for the Dodgers, who was responsible for scouting in an eight-state area. 

Chaney was a member of long standing in the Kansas Baseball Association and was instrumental in running the old-timers’ games.
