Hall of Fame Class of 2005

For 40 years, Frank Leo has led the summer league Hays Larks.  He is a former Larks player who was all-district at Fort Hays State.  

After graduating in 1972, Leo served as an assistant coach for the Tigers and began a 39-year career as math teacher and head baseball coach at Hays High School.  Under Leo, Hays High won 18 league titles and made 12 appearances in the Class 5A tournament.  The Indians made the championship game twice.

Leo led the Larks to 37 trips to the NBC World Series, with 23 Top 10 finishes and five-time runner-up.

Leo coached the USA Junior Pan American team to the title in 1991 in Vera Cruz, Mexico.
