Born in Topeka in 1884, Tullie McAdoo started his professional career with the Topeka Giants in 1907.  

He moved with the Giants to Kansas City, Kansas and later played with the Kansas City Monarchs, the St. Louis Giants, the St. Louis Stars and Cleveland Browns.

McAdoo was considered a premier power-hitting first baseman.  His playing career lasted until 1924.

McAdoo died in Chicago in 1961.
