Roy Myer was a power-hitting first baseman for two NBC World Series champions from Oklahoma – the 1936 and 1939 Duncan Haliburtons and the 1940-41 Enid Eason Oilers.
He moved to Wichita in 1941 and played for the Boeing Bombers, U-Select Candymen and Cessna Bobcats. Three times he was named to all-tournament teams at the
NBC state tournament.
Roy ended his career managing the Cessna Bobcats. He died in 2001 at age 82.
